Philippine Dealing & Exchange Corp.

The Philippine Dealing & Exchange Corp. (PDEx) was incorporated in 2003 to provide trading infrastructure for the fixed-income (FI) market.
As a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)-registered FI Securities Market, PDEx operates the organized secondary market for the trading of FI securities which includes both Government and Corporate Securities.
PDEx, as an SRO, has been given authority by the SEC to create and enforce its own rules, monitor and enforce compliance with securities laws and regulations, and enforce fair, ethical and efficient practices in the securities market with the primordial objective of investor protection. It enables the maintenance of a level playing field among players in the market, to assure investors of fairness and safety in the marketplace.
PDEx is also responsible for calculating the Philippine Dealing System Treasury Reference Rates (PDST Rates). This system may be used as the basis for valuing and marking-to-market interest rate-sensitive instruments
Philippine Depository & Trust Corp.

Incorporated in 1995, the Philippine Depository & Trust Corp. (PDTC) was previously known as the Philippine Central Depository Inc. (PCD).
PDTC acts as depository, registry, and/or intermediary of participants for all kinds of securities or financial instruments and provides value-added services such as collateral management for repurchase transactions. It is also a lending agent and collateral manager for Securities Lending and Borrowing transactions and similar activities.
PDTC provides safekeeping and settlement services for listed fixed income securities in the Philippine Dealing & Exchange Corp. (PDEx). This includes government securities and corporate debt issues. PDTC supports both broker level and investor level settlement for all PDEx-traded transactions.
It is under the dual oversight of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), considering the duality of its functions where it performs market services for securities engaged in the market as well as fiduciary services while securities are at rest.
PDS Academy for Market Development Corp.

The PDS Academy for Market Development Corp. or PDS Academy is a non-stock, non-profit association driven to sponsor and conduct training programs and symposia intended to promote an active dialogue among stakeholders in the Philippine financial markets. It aims to enhance public knowledge of relevant topics and issues by providing a wide range of quality market-based education programs to its members and public investors.
The PDSA has the PDS Officers Development Program – a six-month program which aims to train candidates for officership. Its curriculum uses diversified learning methods that engage and nurture the candidates’ experience in the Program. It includes an overview of the capital markets, in-depth courses of the firm’s products and services, and a study of industry regulatory and risk frameworks.
It also provides learning facilities beyond the four walls of the classroom as it renders an avenue for market participants, investors, and regulators to learn from one another. This is fulfilled through roadshow training, investor education, and partnership with financial institutions. These activities raise awareness and provide market stakeholders an opportunity for sharing knowledge and experience on capital and financial markets.
